CPR is short for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. This is an emergency procedure in which the heart and lungs are made to work by manually compressing the chest overlying the heart and forcing air into the lungs. CPR is used to maintain circulation when the heart stops pumping, usually because of disease, drugs, or trauma

What class do I need?
*BLS Insrtuctor - For BLS Providers who have been certified for at least 2 years and want to teach and train AHA BLS courses.
Once you become an Instructor, you will have access to the most current emergency cardiovascular care science, course updates, training resources and tools through the online AHA Instructor Network. You will also be able to post class dates and times to reach more students through AHA public website.
*BLS Healthcare Provider - For all medical professionals, physicians, nurses, dental, pharmacy, therapists, EMT's, paramedics
*Heartsaver CPR, AED with or without First Aid - For teachers, childcare providers, foster parents, parents, coaches, lifeguards
*Blood Borne Pathogens- Medical labs, anyone working with blood or bodily fluids
* Friends and Family -The Family & Friends CPR Course teaches the lifesaving skills of adult Hands-Only CPR, adult CPR with breaths, child CPR with breaths, adult and child AED use, infant CPR, and mild and severe airway block for adults, children, and infants. Skills are taught in a dynamic group environment using the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which provides students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible. Family & Friends CPR is for people who want to learn CPR but do not need a CPR course completion card to meet a job requirement. This course is ideal for community groups, new parents, grandparents, babysitters, churches and others interested in learning how to save a life.
American Heart Association Certifications are good for TWO YEARS from the date of the class. You will receive your own personal AHA certification card upon completion of classroom and skills testing.
